Black God, White Devil

Always thought this Brazilian film had the feel of a Western: desert / ranch land setting, outlaws with bandoliers across their chest.

Yes, "Outland" is one of the best. It is so close to it, that one could actually call it a "remake" of "High Noon" set in space.

Sam Peckinpah's "Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia" is definitely a western.

Its been on cable recently and it due on DVD this month

Also if your region free "Have Sword Will Travel". This was a Shaw Bros film, that was heavily influenced by the American Western. Heres a review - http://www.kungfucinema.com/reviews/...willtravel.htm

Also "Way Of The Gun" - influenced by The Wild Bunch and even ends with a shootout in a old mexican town.

Okay here's the scoop, I checked with my professor and he said I am to work on National Cinemas and Westerns which is quite a distinction from what I previously posted, so
anymore would be helpful.
