According to an article in the July 8th issue of Video Business:

"The Panic Room DVD, priced at $27.96, and a rental-priced VHS will hit stores Sept. 17th."

"Panic Room was chosen [for Superbit] partly because director David Fincher "embraced" the format and because of the title's forth-quarter timing, Garvin said." [Tracey Garvin, VP of Marketing of Columbia]

"Garvin said there are no plans to release an additional non-Superbit version of Panic Room."

WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!

That does leave room for interpretation that there might be a Superbit Deluxe version in the future.

The standard version this time IS the SuperBit release.

The only reason I comment is because all over the place (including here on HTF) has there been discussion of a Superbit and a regular SE coming out soon thereafter.
