I was told by a Monster Cable salesperson that the max length for a component cable set is 2 meters. Is this statement accurate? Can component cables be ordered in lengths longer than 2 meters from other cable companies?

No, that's not accurate. I've seen Monster component cables pre-packaged in up to 8 meters.

Monster Cable will actually provide you with any length needed since they "cut and package" all cables in Brisbaine, CA.

They can do it for their S-video cable don't see why they
can't do it for component cable.Over here it can be
done whatever length you require they will cut & terminate
with connectors. My HT system is all wired with Monster
cables.

They custom build cables after 8M. What series are you looking for? I have a 10M set of M1000 series.
