I'm looking to purchase a RPTV between $1500-$2000 range. The TV must have HD and be at least 55'. I know that they are many out there but at my price limit, what can I get for my best 'bang for bucks'? I have been to many stores in the Tacoma area and seen many TV's but I am a little confused? What are your sugestions?

I think a Mitsubishi 55" could be had in that price range.

Their RPTV's are really quite wonderfull on picture quality....

Mitsubishis are probably the best picture quality in that price range.

My local best prices are $1500 for the base 55313 and $2300 for the 55613, which adds an HD tuner and some other features. There are also the 55413 and 55513, but the local stores haven't yet replaced last year's 55411 and 55511 models with them. (I hear that the 13 series are a definite improvement over the 11s.)
