I don't think I even saw the remake (though I can't imagine it's any worse than Robocop 2 or especially 3) so it was just a joke. Although I will say that I've really liked Joel Kinnaman in other things like The Killing.

He's one of those actors whose career - as a leading man, anyway - I find puzzling. It's not that he's a bad actor, more that I just find that he has no presence on screen.

I'm still baffled why anybody is disappointed that Blomkampf never got to make his Alien sequel. His last two efforts suggest it might have been for the best.
