Need help with the Malata N996 (1 Viewer)

i just receieved my player..my problem: i connected the dvd player to my Sanyo TV via S-Video..when i set my TV to video mode, it tries to show what is playing but then quickly reverts to the blue screen..i try switching to TV mode then back to Video mode and it shows again what is supposed to be playing and then after a second or so it goes back to blue screen..i cant even look at the dvd player's menu cuz it wont let me-it just keeps giving me the blue screen in video mode-i even tried the regular yellow video RGB cable and same thing..is there sumthing i have to switch?? -oh and ive tried another S-video cable along with my older dvd player and it works fine..i guess its sumthing with the player?..

Gabe, I'd go over to www.avsforum.com and run a search to begin with. There are quite a few posts about the Malata and Matt Stevens knows beaucoups about the 996. Good luck!
