My subwoofer is not as loud! (1 Viewer)

When I first got my new subwoofer (Sony SA-WM40) I couldn't get close to it without it hurting my ears. Now it's not as powerful and I can hear something rattling and bouncing around inside when it's on. Could I have blown it?

Possibly your ear drum
It is really hard to tell without opening it up. But all things being equal except the volume, you could have fried the coil in a "creative way"

If that is the case, something is definitely amiss and in need of repair!
