Brian,
I appreciate your concern and desire to help out. It's not
like I went into this blind. I knew the T/S Specs before I
made the decision to buy the sub and I knew it didn't compare
to any of the subs that are commonly used here. I also knew
that it was going to be very difficult to make use of this
sub. But at the end of all of that thought I said ahh who
cares it's only a stinkin $100.00 bill and I can use it
else where when I am done playing around. I won't blow the
driver I promise! and if I do I will send ya a chunk of the
cone
I am going to build another sub with a MKII 12" DVC later
on and yes I am going to use the same amp. Honestly I can't
imagine Carver putting a Bass Boost into this amp, I don't
see why there would be a need considering this amp is for a
15" driver in a slot loaded cabinent of fairly decent internal
volume. Why would they "need" to run a bass boost circuitry?
I am still awaiting word back from them on the specs but I
look at it like this.. I bought a brand new amp out of a
$1500.00 Retail sub for a meesly $58 dollars... It's something
cheap to play with.. And even if it was so "specific" to
thier driver, I could always buy thier 15" driver from thier
parts department and just clone thier enclosure specs and
have a sub that duplicates thier own performance for what?
maybe all of $200.00 ?
You are not offending me I appreciate your sincerity. This
is something I did willingly, Like I said do not try and
figure my logic out, I have none!
