Well, I just bought my first 5 Blu-Ray movies.

1. Flags of Our Fathers
2. Letters From Iwo Jima
3. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
4. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
5. Apocalypto

No more DVD's for me. No way I'm going back!

So here's my tally so far:
330 DVD's
5 Blu-Ray
1 HD-DVD

I have purchased

Black Hawk Down
Superman Returns
NIN: Beside You In Time
Casino Royale
The Road Warrior

I have Terminator 2 and Superman: The Movie on order.

I have not stopped buying standard DVDs, but it has certainly slowed to a crawl. I just ordered Godzilla vs mothra, Ghidrah, and Invasion of the Astro Monster. . I figure they're no where near a High Def release.

I just bought a Blu-ray player last night at best buy. It was $250 on the "open box" table, so it was a deal I couldn't pass up. So I got Casino Royale and Into the Blue with it.

Went neutral this month after being HD-DVD exlusive for 6 months. Couldn't resist the Pirates movies.

Yep....pretty pictures, underwater photography and Jessica Alba in a bikini....whats not to like!

Besides I'm a sucker for any sunken treasure movie!

Sounds like a remake of The Deep. How does it compare to that one?

Honestly I haven't seen The Deep in a long while mainly because the only DVD of it is pan and scan. But I would say its an update of that film. If you've seen Blue Crush (one of the director's other films) thats more or less the style. For an eye candy movie there is a surprisingly fair amount of character stuff going on.
