Am I the only one who thinks this gimmick is a really bad idea?

I think it's a cool idea, but it could have been better implemented. First of all, they used a subpar DAC on the motherboard. Next, the tube section eats up a lot of real estate that could have made for at least 2 more PCI slots. Lastly, there's the issue of heat and noise inside the PC case. A better solution IMHO would be an external DAC/tube stage that hooks up to the motherboard via USB or SPDIF.

It's probably made for the HTPC people that don't need alot of expandibility. Three PCI slots aint bad since it's got built-in 5.1 sound on the MB.
