McCartney's WINGSPAN - release variations/omissions? (1 Viewer)

Hope I don't offend anybody with this comment, but Wings IS Paul McCartney. Aside from At the Speed of Sound, I don't think the other Wings albums had significant contributions from the other members. This is not meant to insult the other members' playing/singing ability; they're fine musicians. It's just that maybe McCartney felt the need to spare--as Anthony said--buyers seperate hits packages (one for his solo work, the other with Wings).
But still though, it is a bit odd to create a documentary about your years in a band and then slap some solo hits onto the CD companion. Kinda defeats Macca's declaration that Wings was always a band.
It reminds me a bit of how desperately David Bowie wanted the world to believe he was only a member in Tin Machine and not the leader.

It really pisses me off that one idiot can take a life that had so much to offer for all of us.

Even today there are times I think about that and I have to fight back the tears.
So sad, so sad indeed.
