As big of a fan as I am of both movies and both soundtracks, I'm not sure I actually want or need a third movie.

That being said...if it hits the theater, I will be there. I will own the soundtrack and the eventual 4k. These movies are simply good fun for me and I like revisiting them. They put a smile on my face.

For me, the question is, what's left to do with these characters? But I didn't think Here We Go Again had much left when it was announced, and that was fantastic. If they can find a third story that they think is worth telling, I'm down. If not, that's fine too.

Ol Parker, who wrote and directed the second film, is currently making another Universal film with George Clooney and Julia Roberts which will be released in 2022. I think he did a great job on it and made a film that is actually much better than the original. Hopefully they wait for him and ask him back when he is done with his current project. I feel like he should be the one making this unless he doesn't want to do it.
