RIP Mr Walsh.

A memorable presence in many films like Back to School, My Best Friend’s Wedding and Knives Out.

He popped up everywhere. Reliably excellent presence. RIP. What a career.

Just watched him in Serpico and Slap Shot.

Loved his opening narration in Blood Simple. Terrific character actor who was in so many features. R.I.P.

For some reason I thought he'd passed away between shooting Knives Out and it coming out in theaters.

The first thing I remember enjoying him in was Slap Shot, where he played the sportswriter. He grew up near the Canadian Border, in Vermont and the North Country of New York, so he knew that hockey world well.

I kind of want to watch Blood Simple now.

Sad news, one of those rare character actors that elevated everything that he was in. Who else could you picture sending Decker out to retire the replicants. The nut job in The Jerk, over 200 plus credits, and i can't think of a bad one in the bunch.

Prayers for his family, and the world has lost a great talent.
Rest in Peace.

I was very sorry to read this. He was one of those reliable character actors who enhanced any film or program in which he took part. He will be much missed! R.I.P.

He was terrific. Having a supporting player like him always elevated the production. For some reason I remember him from the original Flash TV show where he played Barry Allen’s father, and of course, the doctor in Fletch who performs the rectal exam of Chevy Chase (“you using the whole fist there, doc?”). Other memorable parts include Blade Runner, Ordinary People, and Serpico. Seeing him over the years was like seeing an old friend. He’ll be missed.
