lost remote for old cd player (1 Viewer)

hi guys

i just bought an old cd player from a friend, who is going to use his dvd player for his cd, anyway he has lost the remote

i doubt i will be able to find a replacement in south africa, what other options do i have

has anybody else been in this situation?

Here's a forum where you can get more info on universal remotes... UR's have many -- but not necessarily all -- manufacturers' codes built in... new ones can be had for US$20-40 and up, depending on complexity: http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin...emote/list.cgi

Make sure you identify the exact make and model of your CDP.

And here's a site that features replacement remotes for specific equipment... but that is generally more difficult to get done than getting a UR: http://www.replacementremotes.com/
