Looking for Sub and Amp; Large Room; Klipschorns
Hello From New Orleans:

I have never owned a subwoofer before. Upgrading to an Outlaw 990 preamp/processor. Not sure which amps yet (?can't afford McIntosh 240's quite yet, have Adcom GFA 535). Have Klipsch Klipschorn folded Horn Mains, Academy center, Heresy's or LaScala's for rear (5.1).
Room size is big, like a mono room apt: about 16 x 40 with a sloping roof, 12 ft ave height, about 7200 ft3. Audio/den/HT area is about 16 x 16.

Considering ACI (they recc Maestro; Titans avail used), HSU (they recc: VTF2 or 3 MK3; not much avail used), SVS (recc PB-12 NSD 2 or Plus 2), M&K (several used avail here and Ebay - prof 5160 is huge and 120 lbs), Velodyne - so far.

Any reccs welcome
Thanx from The Big Easy

For a room that large, the dual driver SVS are the minimum I would go with. If you aren't afraid of trying something new, Elemental Designs has a sub with dual 18's and a 1,300w amp. Or if you have the time and skills to go DIY you can save a lot of money.
