Looking for new CD player (1 Viewer)

My old Cd players motor has bit the dust, so it's time for a new one. I'm looking for one that is musical, not anylitical with a good sound stage and has good, but laid back highs. I can't stand bright equipment, it makes my ears hurt. O, I'd like to spend no more than 400 if possible. Thanks.

At that price range a used CDP is your best bet. Music Hall CD-25, Marantz 8260, Jolida JD-100, and Rega Planet are some laid back CDP's. You might find one of these on audiogon or ebay.

Manuel, that looks great. I'll look into it if I have the money. My old player can't physically turn the cd fast enough I think.
