Does anyone know if there is any studio that may be working on this film? I understand that this film in public domain.

I really don't want to buy the Madacy DVD (or anything by Madacy, in fact) if there is the possibility that someone (hopefully Criterion) is working on this.

I've always liked this old flick. A better release would be nice.

This movie is owned by Warner Bros...so please refrain from getting the Madacy disc, because within a couple years, we will probably get a restored DVD from WB...

And for the record: NEVER buy ANYTHING from Madacy. You'll ALWAYS end up regretting it in the end.
