Basically it came down to "how do you like it" and the reply was "pretty good" and not much more detail than that.
Time will tell if this is a smart move 3 years too late, just in time, or unmitigated disaster. I'm betting on disaster but my current Tag will outlive me...
I think timing is not critical, per se. I think it matters whether Tag has a culture than can rapidly create a consumer-electronics product to compete with Apple and Samsung. If they have nimble, innovative people and leadership that will unburden then from historical mandates, they're in time to get into a (presumably) burgeoning market.
But if they're not that type of company, it doesn't matter if they started this effort a decade ago.
