Hi I was wondering if anyone here has the JVC HR-S3901 and what you think of it? I was wondering if I will notice a big difference upgrading from VHS to S-VHS? Does anyone know where the S-VHS tapes can be purchased? Thanks.

I have the 3911, but I don't know how comparable that is. It's a pretty decent VCR, easy to program, pretty good rewind/ff/etc. Missing some stuff, but for $150, it's pretty good.

The difference is pretty impressive, especially if you have a good source (I use my HDTV cable box). It's not uncommon to find S-VHS tapes at the same places you buy VHS tapes. For instance, Circuit City sells them.
