I have maybe what is considered to be a dumb question, but then again sony is always being stupid and making their manuals confusing. I just got a proscan PS2 but it only talks about playing dvd movies in proscan. and to turn proscan on you have to put in a dvd to access the dvd setup menu by pressing select on the controller. This seems wierd. I just want to know for sure that I am getting my GAMES in proscan, cause i don't use it to watch dvd's.

Brian, no games in progressive scan unless the game supports it, like Tekken 4. The new progressive scan feature is for movies only. Sorry.

I hope you didn't buy that PS2 for that reason. If you check the list in the software forum you can see which games support 480p.
You also would have to have component cables, if that PS2 didn't come with them.
