Just a 2 quick questions about it. Will I notice a quality difference with that, as compared to my 2 year old toshiba? Plus is it worth it to go to optical as compared to digital coaxial, like I am running it now?

You wont get the full resolution of DVD audio via Digital Coax or optical. The hirez track is only transmitted via the 6ch outputs.

FOr DVD audio/SACD, use the 6ch. For DD/DTS in movies, use the Digital Coax/Optical

I have the same player as you, and this is what I run.

AR Master Optical cable 6'
Black Rhodium Digital Coax 3'

(6)AR Master Interconnects for the DVD-A 6'
AR Master component 6'

I am breaking in the Coax right now,
I found that the AR optical sounded better than the Coax, but the coax is brand new and its not broken in yet.

I have no complaints on the dvd player and the dvd-a feature is amazing!!!

Everything is hooked into an HK AVR 630.

There you go. Enjoy!
