There will be a 25th anniversary Jurassic Park Fathom Event September 16, 18, and 19.

I will probably sit this one out and just watch it on my projector since there is a good chance that the sound and picture would be better at home, especially for a film at 1.85:1.

If they were putting it on IMAX I would definitely go to see it. Most other Fathom Events would be fine to see in the theater since A/V quality wouldn't be as much of a sticking point.

I ended up going to this anyway. The presentation started with J.A. Bayona and Colin Trevarow talking about how Jurassic Park inspired them to get into film making. Next they showed 15+ minutes of fan recreations of Jurassic Park some of which was highly amusing. Finally the actual movie began. It sounded great but visually it looks like they used the DCP created 5 years ago for the 20th anniversary. There was absolutely no grain to be seen.
