Sounds interesting and I'm looking forward to Bryan's Superman and all, but wasn't something like this considered a DVD "extra" back in the day. I'll need to check my X-Men, Daredevil and Spiderman DVDs again to make sure, but I seem to remember a history of the film's superhero being included without having to spend $20 on a separate DVD. Of course that was a long time ago and my memory isn't what it was way back then.
Ya know, I would give some serious coin to whoever wanted to release Cleopatra: The Film That Changed Hollywood as a single disc release. I have no interest in the movie, but that AMC Backstory is absolutely fascinating.
If this is a Ken Burns production, I'll gladly shell out the $ when it hits on June 20. He's done some excellent stuff.
There was a disc like this for "The Matrix' that was sold seperately around the time that Matrix Reloaded was hitting theaters, or announced. I'm sure this Supes disc well find it's way into a boxset.
On the strength of Burn's Star Wars documentary, I wanted to see this Superman doc. However, I really doubt that I'll be buying the box set (since I have no interest in Superman III or IV) so I'm happy that Warner Bros is releasing it separately.
Is this DVD going to be part of the Ultimate Superman box this fall? Because I want to see it, but I will hold off if it is going to be part of the set I plan to buy.
