I was going to mention the same thing, Tim. The membership, which lasts for a year, costs $25. You need to be a member to use the coupon. With the 50% coupon, the set came to around $89, with tax included. That's just about $114. Full artwork or not, that's just too good a deal to pass up.

you also need a mastercard, and I only have Visa :P. I had a mastercard, but that was a debit for a credit union I used to have.

A lot of people must be taking advantage of the 50% off coupon to buy the Ford set at B&N. It was the 26th best DVD seller on their site yesterday. It is 27th today.

Barnes & Noble ship to Europe, yes.
I order stuff there since 1996 and they certainly ship to The Netherlands.

How do you guys think the transfer of "Prisoner Of Shark Island" will compare to the Eureka Masters of Cinema release? Do you think it will the sourced from the same remastered print?

That's an incredible deal through B&N.

I went through all of my credit cards though and I have 6 Visas and 1 Discover. Not a Mastercard to be found. In fact, I'm not sure that I've ever had a Mastercard!!!

What to do? I might run to the bank and see if I can apply for one quickly.

My new Mastercard arrived, and I quickly place by B&N order.

I did not get quite as good a deal as some of you, but it still came to $109 +$25 membership, which is still a substantial savings over my preorder price at Amazon.

Now, by the time I sell of my duplicates, I'll knock off another $40-$50.
SWEEEEEEEET!!

Thanks for the heads up on this deal.

The B&N coupon expires November 11 in case anyone is still planning to use it to purchase this great set. Still the best deal despite the recent price increase.

Thanks for this tip. I ordered this set to Europe yesterday:
$101.99 + $8.48 shipping (not bad, it´s 25-disc set after all).

I first had some trouble with the code, but when I "saved" the Mastercard info before check out etc, it took the -50% off just fine.

I probably have to pay (we´ll see, though) some custom charges, but that might have been the case with the other online-stores also (and the set would have been 200$)...

So thanks! :)

Btw. Now that I have the "membership", what´ll I gain?

Yes, well I own that release and it's great... but I'm wondering how the new Fox DVD will look in comparison. I'm buying the separate box sets and since this title isn't included, I was thinking about maybe picking it up on it's own. But I'm wondering if Eureka perhaps sourced the transfer from Fox's restoration of the film that will show up next month...

Eureka have had a good relationship with Fox - they sourced their 'Nightmare Alley' transfer from the same source - so I think the quality of the transfers will be at least fairly close Marco.

Looks like B&N have hiked the price again today; thank goodness my new Mastercard arrived this morning and I just crept in under the wire; fantastic deal and Christmas is now well and truly sorted for this fan.

Good to see John that you got the best deal as well.

I was also surprised to see the B&N Membershipcard on my doorstep this morning.
