I recognized Jonathan Torrens right away... he's had his own show on CBC, and he plays J-ROC in The Trailer Park Boys, which may not be all THAT popular, but I still felt it a bit risky of them to cast him.

At least I think that was less risky than casting Rachel's boss on "Friends" as the network honcho on the first season of "Joe Schmo".

This show is great. Ingrid may be suspicious, but her general inquisitive nature and attention to detail has made her pick up on all their plot threads.

ALso, I noticed most of the acting seems to be better this season, including a much more believable bitch. The drunk was a weak link, but she wasn't around long.

Me too, those quick cuts were cracking me up. I loved how the frog kept showing up in close up as well. My wife and I were crying. What a great show. The host playing up the angle that he hates the falcon is pretty great too, he is doing a great job.

I was a huge fan of this show last season. But I'm not completely on board yet for "2". I think the host is hilarious but they might have picked the wrong people to be the schmos. Tim (?) is too bland and Ingrid is too suspicious.

Last season they got really lucky with M.K.G., who was the perfect "nice guy playing by the rules"... you DO have to respect Ingrid's intelligent, inquisitive nature, but I find myself not enjoying the show as much when a "schmo" isn't buying the premise. (not because I'm a sadist per se, but because I want to see all the ridiculous "plot threads" played out fully without interference)

The point some people missed last season is that it's not just "the schmos being made fun of". It's the whole ridiculous concept of these reality shows that is lampooned. The people who didn't appreciate the satire missed all the fun.

I think the overacting is really hurting them this time around (with "Cami the moron" in particular). Ingrid made a comment in one of the interviews to the effect of: "maybe they're just going to make a fool of me, but so what, I'm just along for the ride." And already someone has told her, "I *know* I'm real" -- defending the "reality" after only two episodes does not bode well for the rest of the season!

But what do I know. Maybe they're just baiting as usual, but from next week's promo it sounds like they're seriously thinking about kicking off Ingrid. I'll still watch. The plot threads have yet to pick up fully...

"The Stalker" is really good. I love the creepy "toybox" music they play when he's on screen.

The best part was the eviction ceremony, with the constant phallic references. :)

I love how Ingrid picks up on all the details, it makes it more interesting, IMO. Tim seems rather bland in comparison. The hypnotizing prank worked great. I hope there'll be more conflicts soon. :)

I noticed on this eviction, everyone was giggling at the doubel entendre. THis sold it a lot better that not noticing it ala the first ceremony.

I disagree I think Tim is great. My wife and I watched last week's and were laughing so hard at how he makes fun of the "stalker." I think he's great and Ingrid is good too (hot as hell).

My wife and I about died laughing during the little montage of the host and his rehearsals with the falcon. I was crying when he hit the window I was laughing so hard.

From the first moment I felt I had seen him somewhere.

They've gone overboard with casting 'bigger' actors. Collectively they have many more credits than the original contestants had.

Factoids:

'Ambrosia' is 42 years old, and has 23 acting credits (plus guest appearances). She was in 'When Harry Met Sally', was a regular on 'The Young and the Restless', and had a recurring role for 3 episodes on 'The Parkers'.

Ralph Garman used to date porn star Ginger Lynn Allen, and appeared in the E! True Hollywood Story episode about her.

In addition to his role on 'Sabrina', our friend T.J. 'The Playa' had regular parts on 'Moesha' and 'Undressed', and has 18 credits plus guest appearances.
