From the first moment I felt I had seen him somewhere.

They've gone overboard with casting 'bigger' actors. Collectively they have many more credits than the original contestants had.

Factoids:

'Ambrosia' is 42 years old, and has 23 acting credits (plus guest appearances). She was in 'When Harry Met Sally', was a regular on 'The Young and the Restless', and had a recurring role for 3 episodes on 'The Parkers'.

Ralph Garman used to date porn star Ginger Lynn Allen, and appeared in the E! True Hollywood Story episode about her.

In addition to his role on 'Sabrina', our friend T.J. 'The Playa' had regular parts on 'Moesha' and 'Undressed', and has 18 credits plus guest appearances.

You're giving the Schmo's too much credit. Rememeber, we are movie/TV geeks here. Normal people are going to know that stuff.

I missed them the first time they came on but thanks to TiVo I finally caught up on them last night. I had my doubts about a season 2 of schmo but they are still bringing the funny. The stalker character is great. I also loved when the falcon hit the window in rehearsal. You would think that would really injure the bird. And my favorite line, "stay tuned for the most outrageous tease to the most unbelievable eviction ceremony yet." (something like that). That was comedy gold.

Alert: the show is on tonite. Rumors are that this change is due to the low ratings this season (pilot below expectations, week 2 dropped another 150,000 viewers).

11:05pm?!?!? Maybe they are just going to burn the rest of the eps off.

Last year the ratings increased 45% for the second episode.

Was my TV playing tricks on me or did MTV show last week's episode at 10:00 last night? I thought that was kind of strange. I also saw an ad saying it would be on tonight at 11:05 but thought that could not be and had convinced myself it would just be on tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.

According to the information in my Tivo, tonight's episode has an original airdate of 9/2/2003, so it say it's a rerun of last season

It says tomorrow's episode is a new one called "The Crisis", at 10 PM.

I guess this change of schedule was rather new one then? Good thing the show is on all the time after this anyway. ;)

SpikeTV.com says Joe Schmo 2 airs at 11:05pm mondays. I believe this is a new show and that this is the new airtime. But I have to think they are practically writing the show off by moving the airtime out of prime time.

I still like the show (though I think the first season was better and funnier...so far).

If the new episode is indeed on tonight, make sure you put some padding at the end of your recording because WWE Raw doesn't always finish by 11:05.

Well looks like Ingrid is a goner, wonder if they'll give her any money still. If not then I bet she'll feel like quite the idiot for voicing her doubts (if it was me and I caught on I'd just play dumb and collect my 100 grand). I can't imagine they'll keep her around after tonights episode the reveal would be completly anti-climatic. Are they really going to bring in the original Joe next week, sounds too risky to me. I wonder what this "most shocking twist in the history of television" will be next week, knowing this show it'll be nothing too outrageous as they like to call everything "the most shocking". They did those damn quick cuts to the frog again at the end and it still had me rolling. Well all in all I'm quite pleased with the way this season is playing out, I liked last years but this one has been even better (IMO) I'm actually quite excited to see where it goes. Kinda strange how they moved it out of primetime and now a 90 minute episode next week, looks like it might be a quick little season, how many episodes were there last year? Alright I'm rambling.

There were a few things they could do to save Ingrid at this point. They could have gotten rid of Cammy and said she was being kicked off for lying to the producers about her background. Most of her doubts seemed to revolve around Cammy.

Jana Speaker (Cammy) has a modelling, rather than an acting background according to the official website and that could be a lot of the problem here. She doesn't seem to understand many of the basics of acting, most importantly motivation. This is high-school acting class stuff.

Or, they could let Ingrid in on it and see if she'll help them prank Tim.

Speaking of which, why did they cast Ingrid in the first place? It seems that she has lots of personality traits that obviously make her a bad candidate for this. She's way too analytical, for instance. She'd make a great contestant on an actual reality show as she's attractive, likeable, smart and good at reading others. Hell, since it doesn't seem to be working out with Austin, I'd be glad to go out with her. Here, though, it seems like she'd obviously be a bad mark.

Though this has led me to wonder what kind of woman would be a good mark here? Any suggestions?

My dad was telling me he thinks Tim Herzog is making a mistake by playing AUstin so straight. THe show is obviously ridiculous and by acting like he doesn't notice, he's straining credibility. If he cracked up when saying some of the things he has to say, he'd be a lot more believable.

They kinda screwed up the casting didnt they? Cammy is just plain dumb they could have just got her to play herself rather than 'act'.

I would have to agree, the show is so rediculous with all the sexual innuendo and he is playing it way to serious.

I wonder if they will be bringing in a new Shmoe if they are booting Ingrid off.

Tim Herzog essentially seems to be thinking of himself as this bachelor character rather than a basically ordinary guy who was brought in to be the bachelor character.

Considering the producers KNEW Ingrid was not believing this show, they totally screwed themselves with the Cammy/fake porno speech. Why would they do this? They KNOW she's having a hard time believing everything. What would've been smarter would've been to have Cammy tell someone else and that person tells another, etc and then it just becomes a huge swirling rumor. And then, maybe after a few days, have the producers or executive come and threaten to kick her off the show. Hopefully by then Ingrid is believing things more.

Agreed. When I was watching it, I was thinking "Thsi is what they do to try to reel her back in?" Granted, it would have gone better if the actress had handled it better, but it was a stupid idea in the first place, which is the producer's fault, not Jana Speaks.

This whole episode cracked me up. Cammy's speech about "eating my box" was hilarious. :D

I agree that Jana Speaker does not seem to be a good enough actress for this stuff. Her waiting while the cameraman reloaded the camera for example... sure, they wanted it on film, but I think it would have been better had she gone ahead and talked. I liked that Ingrid called her on the things she said.

I also think it was a mistake making it a dating show. They usually don't do it this corny, and I think that's one reason why Ingrid is having her doubts. Will be interesting to see if they boot her or if she stays. Like someone said above, maybe they should just let her in on it and have her help fool Tim. :)

What had me rolling was the captions under Ingrid's name changed from "Thinks it's all real" to "Thinks it's 50% real" then to "We're screwed".
