To clarify one thing, this is not the film JFK with Kevin Costner. Rather it is a documentary that Stone did on the JFK assassination. I've been hoping that Warner's will eventually do an upgrade on that film (4K?) but this isn't it.

What Stone could do in a "documentary" would be as worthless to historical scholarship as his film was.

I'm a big fan of Stone's JFK, I think it's his best film. That being said, it's about historically accurate as Disney's Pocahontas!

It is perhaps a first. It's the only movie ever made that tries to dramatize a criminal trial by leaving out the most important witness in the proceedings (Perry Russo). That's because Perry Russo's total lack of credibility showed how the entire "case" against an innocent man, Clay Shaw, was worthless from the outset and that Garrison had tried to suborn perjury (among other things).

Pretty interesting. I haven’t seen the documentary but JFK is probably my favorite Stone film.
