Is Beavis and Butt-Head Do America supposed to look grainy? (1 Viewer)

I watched my DVD of Beavis and Butt-Head Do America for the first time last night. As I was watching it, I noticed quite a bit of grain, especially in the lighter colored scenes. Is this normal? pretty much all of the DVDs I have are crystal clear when I watch them, except a few exceptions.

I haven't seen that movie since it was out it theaters but maybe it is trying to mimic the look of the tv show? I haven't ever really watched the tv show so I don't know.
