I pay for Fileplanet too. It's just so convenient. I do use Kazaa or IRC on occasion...but so many files are re-named or corrupt on Kazaa and you often have to spend a fair amount of time navigating peoples servers and finding someone with queue/send slots available on IRC that paying for Fileplanet is simply worth it to me.
