Orson Welles - He could have done so much had the studios just let him have his way. Hey, with talent of his caliber, you just can't be so shortsighted. On the other hand, Hitchcock had a long and rewarding career.

Yes Welles maybe ruined his own career in how he handled control, but this is Hitch and its like bringing Mozart or DaVinci back. Artists like that have NEVER done enough work for my satisfaction. If 1959 Hitch and 1939 Welles both had new topline films coming out, I would be going to the Hitch film first.

Alfred Hitchcock Another tough one, I consider them pretty much equal quality wise but we'd get more quantity from Hitchsock so ...
