I just looked at the Variety list quickly. A massive oversight on my part is Network. Such a great film (except the ending). This film would definitely go on my top 100. I also forgot SE7EN.

This is kind of what I meant about us not necessarily doing a better job. Unless I missed it somewhere (not unlikely), I haven't seen anyone in any of the "Top 100" lists include To Kill a Mockingbird.

All such lists are nothing more than a consensus of opinions of a group of individuals. As such, no list, no matter what it may include or exclude, can be either right or wrong.

What I do know is that if I was to make up My Top 100 list right now, I'd probably come up with a different list if I tried to repeat the action next week.

What-all English speaking films?? Only one English speaking film in my top ten and that was from the U.K.
I really only love one foreign film maybe I would have put in the top 10 Beauty and The Beast

The British Film Institute compiled a top 100 films of all time list in their latest edition of their Sight and Sound magazine
