This is a tough one. Even though I like a few more films on Matt's list, I gotta give the nod to Evan, who has two sentimental faves: Star Wars and Raiders.

I love every movie on his list except for Donnie Darko, which I thought was pretty good.

Very close. I’d second what Steve said. The selection of The General is just enough for me to give
Evan the nod.

Close Encounters overrated?? The second best Spielberg movie?? Uh, I'll have what you're smoking! ;)
BTW, Rob, the link you provided Re: PowerDVD wasn't working. I'll send you a PM.

This is very close, as Jan has three of my all-time Top Ten, but also 2-3 that I like more than I love. On the other hand, I love each of George's picks (even the very underrated Planes, Trains & Automobiles), but none of them manage to reach my Top Ten.
Both also have five from my "official" (as in: the written down version; not the constantly changing nebulous mass of great films currently floating in my head) Top 100.
Hell, I give up. I wouldn't mind losing to either of 'em, so I'll just take an abstain this round.
Evan

I am going to ABSTAIN because although Jan has more films that I truly love, his list also includes Full Metal Jacket, which I loathe.

Well, I didn't say that I didn't like it! I gave it a thumbs up. I just think it's overrated, and certainly not Spielberg's second best movie!
Don't worry Jan, you are still my pick to win it all! :)
