I am really a novice in this area and I would appreciate any help I can get.
I am interested in purchasing a projector that has native resolution of 1024x768. The projector has an HDMI connector and VGA connectors. I want to connect it to my MacPro computer which has only DVI connectors. Can I simply connect a DVI cable to my Mac and then attach this cable to the projector with a DVI/HDMI adaptor? Will this maintain high quality video? Will this provide better quality video than using a VGA cable with a VGA/DVI adaptor?
Thanks.
John

Welcome to HTF, John!
I used a DVI to HDMI adapter from my old Mac mini to my HDTV. Then I ran an optical digital cable to my receiver.
DVI is digital. VGA is analog. DVI should be better, although you probably won't see it at 1024x768.
Personally, though, you can do better than 1024x768 for a projector.
