I have a dining room I do not use right now and was wondering how do you think it would be for a home theater? Its is 12 ft long, 10 ft wide, with a 12 ft ceiling in center and 10 ft ceilin at the ends, a raised ceiling. I can close off both doorway openings with heavy hanging curtains, doors won't work. Think this will be an alright small HT room? what problems might I run into? thanks for the help.

A room that size will be a little tight for HT, but there's no reason it wouldn't work.
You won't have alot of space to spread your fronts out for good imaging and you'll have trouble getting your seating far enough away from the display (depending on screen size).
But still, if the other option is no HT room, I'd go for it and make the best of it.
