This topic got generated in a different thread, but I was hoping to get some more feedback on people's experiences with manual pull-down screens, so I created a new thread specific to this topic.

I'm worried about wrinkles and ripples or waves on the screen surface of a pull-down model.

All thoughts are much appreciated! Thank you!

I have a Da-Lite Model B pull down with video spectra fabric (gain of 1.5). It has no wrinkles or ripples, although I've heard of others with this same screen and material who do have wrinkles. I think I just got lucky.

The general consensus seems to be that if you want a pull down screen and no wrinkles, you need to go with the high power material. It doesn't wrinkle. The high power works great if you have a floor or table mount projector. It may work if your ceiling mounted projector is pretty low.

With the others, you may get a flat screen like me, or not.
