I have a Toshiba 55" RPTV model # TP55H60. Will this TV support 480p through component inputs?

Nope ...

In general ... if your RPTV does not do line doubling ... then it is not 480P capable at all. There might be a few exceptions for RCA sets, but not for you.

This is just a guess--but it may have that sort of information in the owner's manual!
;)
If it is a "digital" television, or HDTV-ready, or HDTV, then it can probably do 480P.

Judging from what I read at toshiba's web site about your set it doesn't do 480p. And as Chris said, if it ain't digital, it ain't progressive ready.
