I feel like such a dork.:b
OK, the disc I'm having problems with is Steely Dan "Two Against Nature". According to the little, itsy, bitsy print on the backside of the case, there are supposed to be 4 audio choices.
I'm trying to play it in a Toshiba 4700 connected via Toslink for digital, 6 ICs for 6 channel analog, and 2 ICs for 2 channel analog, all going to a Yamaha DSP-A1.
The disc plays fine in 6 channel analog, but I can't find a choice for dts in the menus. Is the dts not output as a bitstream on this disk?
When I access the stereo tracks menu the disc "plays" but I get no sound at all. I have tried all the combinations in the Toshiba setup menu.
In my bedroom system, where I have a Pioneer Elite DVL-90, the disc won't play at all, can't even access the menus.
Time for a new DVD player in there.
Anybody have any secrets for playing this disc?
Thanks,
Julian
