I have an older Atlantic Technologies 12 sub woofer it has been great to me over the years... It still pounds out the bass, but now on higher level tones and at weird spots I get some distortion like paper rubbing on the woofer... I’m guessing it blown... Maybe its not blown does anyone have any ideas what it may be? Thanks for any help!

Could be the voice coil rubbing against the magnet structure. This can happen if your sub is exposed to humidity and oxidation has formed on the magnet structure.

I don't know if it can be fixed:frowning:

Good luck
