I was interested in getting a new home theater system for my living room which is fairly large (its open to the dining room and the kitchen). So far, I will probably get a Harmon Kardon AVR 325 or 330. For the sub, I will be building a tempest sonosub.

I need help on a set of speakers for this system. I would like to keep it within $600-700 for all five speakers. Are there any sets you would recommend? I like the speakers to have strong mids. I am thinking that I don't need huge front speakers since I'll have the sub to take care of the bass. Are the Fluance speakers any good? (seeing that they're so cheap). Or should I just get like a set of NHT's all around?
