does anyone use a highend PC with approriate video card and software for 1080i input to a non-CRT front projector in native mode?
if so, what resolutions are capable? and does anyone have opinions based on experimenting with any of the following:
DVD drive output vs. say.. a sony 7700 w/ component outputs into a good line doubler. i read conflicting things about a PC drive being capable of extracting a native 480p signal from a disc.
PC games vs. the Playstation 2.
Internet surfing.
i'm planning to hook my PC into the RGB pass-through of my Runco DLP. the projector uses a 1024 x 768 chip; however only 1024 x 576 is usable on my wide screen setup.
