I have been meaning to write this for quite some time. Concerning the sticky with the important newsletter to be coming out I have realized I haven't had a newsletter from HTF in a very long time. Now I don't know if this is because none have been sent out or if somehow my email addy doesn't appear on your list even though on my forum index page it says "subscribed" (actually it says unsubscribe so that must mean I am subscribed).
I just want to be sure I get the newsletter and that you have my email. Thanks [IMG]

    Hi, Michael!

    Nice photo.

It has indeed been a very long time since we
mailed out a Newsletter. There are many reasons
why we don't do it anymore. They range from
the fact that we don't like to our members to
feel like they are being "spammed" to the actual
difficulties of sending email to 33,000 individuals
through my local broadband ISP and not get shut
down (like I did a year ago).

We are readying a major Newsletter that should
go out next week, but we have to be sure that all
our plans are in place before we start making any
    announcements.

If you miss the Newsletter in your mailbox, we
will certainly post it in the forum.

    Best Wishes!

Ron, I think the idea of HTF "spamming" is insane for 2 reasons. For one, the newsletter is a good little read that doesn't include porn, get rich quick schemes, credit card applications, credit reports...you get the idea. That's spam, not an informative newsletter. Second, if one doesn't want it, there is no easier way to not get the newsletter than by clicking the "unsubscribe".
I do understand though your reasoning, especially concerning your ISP. Its just really too bad a monthly newsletter isn't sent out. [IMG]

    Michael,

You'd be surprised how many angry letters I
receive that contain the word "spam" with every
    Newsletter that goes out.
