I have this orion cobalt svc left over from an old car stereo
Fs 36 Hz
Qts .71
Vas 2.83 cu. ft.
SENSITIVITY 92 dB
LINEAR EXCURSION 8.5mm

Is it decent enough to build a home theater sub out of it? I also have a sealed box laying around it is about 1.9 cuft. I want a sealed enclosure so please point me in the right direction.
thanks- Joe

It's probably worth buying a new driver IMO. The Fs and Qts are high and xmax is a little low. You can try putting it in the box and see if you like it but it will lack extension unless you go LT. You can download Winisd and put all the specs in to design a proper box if you like. I think if you want a HT sub then there are better options for not a lot of money.

So is this box good for anything? Could I buy a driver that would work well in a small box like this one?
