Harmon kardon DVD5 (1 Viewer)

I like this player but have been getting lots of disk errors lately.I heard the DVd50 had similar problems is my earlier model also known for this problem?

Howard, I can't remember encountering any members here who own a Harman/Kardon DVD changer, though some probably do. In the event that you don't get any helpful replies here, maybe you should check reviews of your player on www.audioreview.com . Maybe people have reported disk errors there for the DVD 5. I bought the DVD50 and its been nothing but trouble. They just released the 2.0 firmware update, which seems to have fixed my skipping problem, but the unit still likes to reset itself from time to time (so I have to go in and select the TV shape, progressive scan, etc.). Alot of people are happy with 2.0 but I would not recommend this or any HK product to anyone.
