This weekend I stumbled across a terrific double-feature I made myself. It might not be an original pairing, but I loved watching these films back-to-back:

The Manhattan Project and Real Genius.

What else have you guys discovered makes for great pairings? Not obvious stuff that involves a film and its sequel, or its remake. More inspired pairings is what I'm looking for. Thanks,

After watching Thirteen Days last night, I thought JFK would make a natural double feature with it, especially since my (Swedish) wife asked how the US would've been different if Kennedy wasn't assassinated.

A Clockwork Orange and Natural Born Killers (make sure to keep plenty of eye moistener and a vomit receptacle ready)
Casablanca and Play It Again, Sam (duh!)
Ben-Hur and The Celluloid Closet (ducks projectile from Seth Paxton :) )
American Movie and Storytelling
or
American Movie and Ed Wood
Dr. Strangelove... and Fail-Safe (both terrific, but VERY different takes on the same subject matter. Come to think of it, either would be a good double-bill companion to Thirteen Days)

Or maybe pair them like the "Before & After" clue on "Wheel of Fortune":

MAJOR LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN
A FEW GOOD MEN OF HONOR
A CLOCKWORK ORANGE COUNTY
EVIL DEAD ZONE
AMERICAN BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
DIRTY HARRY POTTER

...You get the idea.

Good one. Any excuse to watch a Sirk. :)
I might also suggest In The Mood For Love and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, or any combination of those plus Splendor in the Grass. The unconsummated love trilogy. :)
Also:
A Beautiful Mind and Rain Man - The "mental disorders for dummies" double bill. ;)
