Been reading about this disc development over the past few weeks.

Perhaps perfect for putting entire TV series on a single disc if compatible with today's players, but nobody expects the studios to release 8k content to physical media.

Um... it says 200TB, not 200GB.

This corresponds to 4000 times the data density of a Blu-ray disc or 21 times that of the most modern hard drives.

No way it's compatible with any current player. Sounds like a scientific/archiving thing anyway. I doubt this can be a consumer product in the foreseeable future.

Yup. UHD is the last consumer disc format.
