Fuzzy picture in dark scenes (1 Viewer)

I have a Mits WS 55711 that I have always noticed in the dark scenes of dvd's it is fuzzy, (not blurry), but kind of staticky (sp?). That is the only way I can think of to describe it. The only movie that really jumps to mind is the Band of Brothers dvd's. Is this something that I can get rid of with calibration/adjustment? I don't really notice it with DSS.

Only brightness and Picture(contrast) have anything to d with this really....


Not sure. I mean CRT technology really isn't known to do this at all.

The best I can describe it is that the picture is grainy.

I don't have the DVD, if I did I would check it out on mine.


Gonna pick up some new media thsi weekend, I may have to buy it.

Poor transfers can cause it for sure.
