Front speakers 3' above TV bad idea? (1 Viewer)

First timer here, Because of my room set-up etc., Would it be a bad idea to mount my center and L&R front speakers around 3' above the TV? Would this matter sound wise? I just don't want it to sound like the voices are not coming from the TV, if this makes sense. Plus I don't want to use speaker stands because of my 2&4 year olds. Thanks!

That's what your center is for. Keep it above TV and the mains to the left and right otherwise you may lose your special effects which is what surround sound is all about.

All three of those speakers should have the tweeters as close to possible to ear height level. If that's not possible, then at least try to point or angle the speakers towards your head.
