    Tony,

Is it as heavy as Dream Theater? The only album of theirs that ever really appealed to me was Awake. I am not one for extreme instrumentals, which I feel most DT releases consist of. I prefer a band like Porcupine Tree. Are you familiar with them?

Yes, I am familiar with Porcupine Tree. I actually saw them open for Opeth this summer. I own In Absentia. Unweaving the Rainbow is not as heavy as most Dream Theater. To keep it in DT terms, I'd describe it as a mix between disc two of Six Degrees and Awake. Heavy and fast at parts, but contrastingly beautiful in others. This is anything but an instrumental. It was a project built around James LaBrie's voice.
