There's no chanc of them running the complete pilot? Oh well, I'll have to keep my eye out for that flashback episode.

That's terrible, the 2 hour pilot was fantastic, and it needs to be shown in its entirety. I've never heard about it being edited, but "altered" to fit in with the current timeline. Hopefully, they'll show the full 2 hour pilot.

In thinking about the pre-emption thing, I do like that they actually SCHEDULED the pre-emption. I think what bugged me with other shows being pre-empted on non-traditional evenings was that they happened without any notice. This happened to Buffy a few times a couple years ago and people had to call and write the local affiliate to find out the replacement time (some 1 AM deal on the following weekend). That is silly. At least plan for it and schedule it so that, like Firely, fans of the show know it is TWO weeks away.
