I was curious to see what channels everyone has programmed as their favorites. I have an Acura TL which allows 12 presets:

9, 20, 26, 27, 44, 47
54, 65, 70, 80, 83, 113

are mine, if I recall correctly. I don't listen to 80 or 83 that often really, but I wanted something that has that feel to it. I'd love to hear from tohers on their favorite channels and why.

Thanks.

I have no idea what the channel numbers are, but I usually listen to Fred, Ethel or Lucy around the house, but will occasionally jump over to the classical, opera, or classic jazz stations.

It's interesting to look at the lists to try and get an idea about the person (correct or not).

I like your thinking!
My Presets (in order that I listen to them) are:

Ethel
Lucy
Fred
Fungus
80's on 8
Flight 26

If all these fail (and that's pretty rare), in goes a CD. :)

20 - Top 20 on 20
26 - Flight 26
30 - XM Hitlist
44 - Fred
47 - Ethel

...but my personal favorite is XM 84 Chill. I listen to it every night while I sleep. Very peaceful to have in the background.

I'm from the younger generation if you can't tell...

The station that I listen to 75% of the time is 12 -Xcountry. I listen to channel 4 - 30s and 40s music when I go to bed. The rest of the time I listen to the decades 50s, 60s, and 70s. It seems crazy to have all these stations available and that is all that I listen to. I wish there was some sort of technology that allowed an individual to give up all the unlistened to channels and get the ones that they do listen to in better quality sound.

I listen most often to :

America (Bill Anderson's show is great for fans of classic country)
Willie's Place (I liked Hank's Place better)
Old Time Radio (especially when Jack Benny is on)
Fox News (great for driving home)
Enlighten
40s
50s
Big 10 network

For me, sound quality is very good. As you can tell, most of my tastes skew to older material which was probably mono to begin with. Besides, I've heard music on these stations that is not available commercially or is very hard to find.

Call me a satisfied customer.

The first 6 presets on my Alpine HU are:

41 - The Boneyard
46 - Top Tracks
47 - Ethel
48 - Squizz
49 - Big Tracks
54 - Lucy

My next 6:

9 - The 90s
20 - 20 On 20
21 - KISS (I think)
22 - The Mix
26 - Flight 26
30 - Hit List

I've been a subscriber for 4 or 5 years, I can't remember exactly, and I love it. I rarely have to cycle through to my 3rd level of presets (I can't even remember what they are!).

Fred - about 30%
Ethel, Lucy, and Fungus the rest of the time.
